New to the museum’s Main Floor exhibit area, “Building Ashland: An Industrial History” tells the stories of the industries that established Ashland.  This exhibit encompasses the entirety of the city’s history, from its early beginning as Poage Settlement and later incorporation as “Ashland” in 1854 to today.  Many well known businesses such as ARMCO/AK Steel and Ashland Oil are included, and the influences of coal mining and the railroad are also featured.  Current ventures are also on display including Braidy Industries.  An opening reception for “Building Ashland” will take place on Thursday, September 7 at 5pm.  This exhibit will be on display through October.
