Annual Meeting and Ribbon Cutting

The Annual Meeting of the Highlands Museum & Discovery Center, Inc. (HMDC) membership will be held on Thursday, July 20, 2016 at 5:00PM at the Museum.  This meeting will also serve as the Ribbon Cutting for the recent construction of the museum made possible by a Community Block Development Grant and the Woodlands Foundation.  This event is open to the public, but Museum Members will be required to show their membership card (current and in good standing) to be able to vote.  

Members in good standing who cannot attend in person can vote by submitting their signed proxy to arrive at the museum no later than 1 day in advance of the meeting. Click here to download a proxy ballot. Late proxy votes will not be counted in the election.

The Board of Trustees will bring the following matters before the membership for their ratification vote at the meeting:

  1. Election of five (5) members to the new Advisory Board.

If no membership votes are received at or for the annual meeting, the six recommended candidates for the Advisory Board will be affirmed as elected by the members of HMDC.
