This January marks the 80th anniversary of the 1937 Flood where the Ohio River flooded causing massive damage across multiple states. This exhibit features photos newspapers, scrapbooks, and more to give visitors an idea of what the area was like before the waters receded. This is a special exhibit in that museum staff interviewed individuals who witnessed the flood’s impact and destruction firsthand. Quotations from these interviews are on display and recordings from them will be available for guests to listen to. This exhibit will be up through the end of February.
