The newest exhibit to the museum’s Mezzanine level, “The 60’s & 70’s: Stable to Radical”, uses vintage clothing from the museum’s collections to show the extreme change in American culture over the course of two decades.
This 20 year period began with white gloves and hats and ended with miniskirts and granny dresses. Through these two decades the country was transitioned from the start of a golden age to the Vietnam War and Watergate. The exhibit follows the changes in fashion, music, cars, and historical events. “The 60’s & 70’s” will be on display through April 2018.
